Whova Virtual Event Platform

VIRTUAL MEETING PLATFORM:

Attendee Access to the Whova Virtual Platform – Our plan is to release the Virtual Event Platform to all paid meeting registrants on Monday, January 25th so that everyone has an extra week to build their personalized meeting agendaview on-demand presentations ahead of the Annual Meeting dates and start engaging with the Western Wildlife Community.  All registrants will receive an invite to the virtual meeting platform at the email address they used to register for the meeting.  Sometimes these automated emails get stuck in spam folders so do check there if you don’t see the invite in your email inbox.  We will update this page as soon as invites have been sent out, or if there is an unexpected delay.  We are so excited, and hope you are too!  Whova offers a great video that explains the platform and how to use it!  Check it out:  Link to Whova App User Guide  The Web App link for our event will be emailed to you as part of the invitation. The link looks like https://whova.com/portal/webapp/xxxx/  Make sure to bookmark this link the first time you login to the meeting.

Attention Last Minute Meeting Registrants  After you register and pay for the meeting, our registration staff will email you an invitation access link for the Whova platform at the e-address you listed on your online registration form.  These codes will be sent out during regular business hours.  This step is not automated so please plan ahead to allow time for us to send you this code during our listed business hours. Some firewalls may send this invitation to your junk/spam folder so be sure to check there for your unique invitation.  For help, email tech_help@tws-west.org.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our 2021 meeting will be powered by the Whova Virtual Event Platform.  The Whova platform works widely on both web based devices (such as desktop computers and laptops) and mobile devices as well.   There will be all sorts of opportunities for TWS-WS members to engage, learn and connect through Whova!

Zoom will be the main video conferencing software used by the live presenters during the conference. To access the Zoom sessions, you will use a hidden link provided for meeting registrants in the Whova App.  Links to pre-recorded videos will also be accessed through the Whova App.

Whova will allow attendees to access the program, interact with the speakers and organizers and also access the livestream sessions. In particular, the features offered by Whova are as follows:

  • View the conference agenda and plan your personalized schedule
  • Access Livestreams and Videos directly within sessions and use the session Q&A
  • Set up Virtual meet-ups with your fellow attendees to connect remotely
  • Create and converse through various Discussion Topics in the Community Board
  • Receive updates (e.g. last minute session changes from the organizers)tech:
